OPICA’s Brain Train for Early Memory Loss

OPICA’s Brain Train is a program for individuals experiencing early-stage memory loss, and their care partners. The program helps to enhance and prolong participants’ quality of life and keep them independent for as long as possible; it also helps reduce stress levels for care partners. Activities stimulate the mind, body and spirit and provide opportunities for social communication and friendship.

During this four-hour, once a week, program participants will learn techniques to improve memory, participate in lively discussions, experience a Yoga For The Brain™ class, attend a support group with those undergoing similar experiences and enhance their creativity.  Participants also learn strategies for optimum health and healing. The sessions are ongoing.

All our programs are delivered by a professional multi-disciplinary team. Another valuable component of our program is a separate 90-minute support group for the caregiver / care partner. This group runs concurrently (in a separate room) and offers peer-to-peer support, education and specific care management strategies.

OPICA’s Brain Train is offered at three locations:

Thursday 10:00am – 2:00pm

Silverado, Beverly Place
Wednesday 10:30am – 2:30pm
